Heiko has led brainbot since 2020. The company was founded in 2000 as a spin-off of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and builds AI systems for environments where data control is a technical requirement, not a slide.
brainbot started as a search-engine technology company in 2000. Since 2014, we have built systems using frontier AI and blockchain technologies for environments where trust, privacy, and security matter.
Our background in cryptographic protocols - Shutter (threshold encryption for Ethereum), encrypted mempools, and secured digital voting - does not mean our AI agents are built on cryptography. It means we know what it takes to build systems where data control is a technical requirement, not a slide.
Today, our work focuses on four areas: AI agents for sensitive business workflows, Indie.solutions (private AI infrastructure), encrypted mempools, and secured digital voting.
